Microsoft hits new lows

180px-WindowsMEbOXcovershot.pngI've seen a lot of bad shit go down, including Weezer on the Windows 95 installation CD, but man, the Vista song and a fake Bruce Springsteen? Come on. Microsoft has lost it's respect, if it ever gained any after Windows ME again.

My head hurts.

glare.jpgI always find it amusing to read about notebooks using Glare-Type displays. I mean, glare is nothing that would make me say: "Yay! That's what I'm looking for on my screen, here's my cash!". I guess that's why most companies got creative and started using some non-sense brand names like Clear SuperView or Toughened Optical Glass.

But, that's some sweet prices on these notebooks...

Cover of US armed forces newspaperWikihistory is a funny short story about revert-wars in a fictional time-traveller forum ("International Association of Time Travelers"). Anybody who had a look at a talk/ history page on Wikipedia previously will be reminded of similar invisible wars going on on hot/ sensitive topics there too.

Without the biometric checks, the company says, potential criminals and illegal immigrants arriving on international flights or in transit to another country could bypass border controls by swapping boarding passes with a domestic passenger who has already checked in.

Oh, really. Let's all hope, UK's surveillance delusion does not spread to other European countries like a virus (we all know it does), otherwise when we get old, our future will look like the picture on the right...

iPhone SDK out in June, who cares

What most news outlets in Europe seem to completely ignore is the fact that the iPhone SDK will be USA only for now. There's no way for international publishers to obtain signing certificates or get their software onto the iTunes shop.

It's typical for Apple's US-centric world view. I wonder how long it will take them to get the iTunes software shop working for international customers this time and at which rate; Apples dollar exchange rates are still from the golden years of the american economy.

P.S.: First screenshots of the iPhone SDK are up
